Mog's Mogs

I like cats. I certainly wouldn't go under Mog Anarchy if I didn't! Cats are awesome. There is no better feeling than knowing you've earned the trust and love of a cat and he/she will curl up with you on the sofa, keep your feet warm in bed or come and headbutt your 3DS out of your hands because they want attention.

This page is a list of all the cats I've had during my life - including the current residents and those who have sadly passed on.

Jet
D.O.B. - 04/03/15
Nicknames - Jetty Boy, Jetski, Jetti Spaghetti

Jet is a male black and white cat (not quite a tuxedo, we call him a 3-piece suit cat) with a dashing moustache. We adopted him at 6 weeks old. He is very affectionate and cuddly, likes to bunt (headbutt) a lot. His favourite toys are anything feathery on strings. His favourite human food is chicken. He doesn't know his own weight and will often sit on your chest and suffocate you. He sometimes gets into the bins and rips up packets off hot dogs and bacon. He is the cleanest cat Shelly and I have ever known - even as a kitten he has never had accidents outside of the litter tray.

Amber

Nicknames - La Bamba, Bamba, Jam-Jam

Amber is a female black and white tuxedo cat with a distinct crown shape on her left hind leg. We adopted her at 9 months old. Amber had a litter of kittens on the 22nd of February 2017 - 5 (including one stillborn) - including Pearl and Onyx. Her favourite toys are long furry snakes on sticks. Her favourite human food is tuna. If you put on "La Bamba" by Los Lobos, her ears will prick and she will get very excited. She has the feline equivalent of Down's Syndrome and has a squashed skull and misaligned jaw. She is quite clumsy and sometimes struggles to pick things up in her mouth.

Pearl

Nicknames - Girly Pearly, Poops, Poppadoms

Pearl was the 2nd kitten born from Amber's litter. She is a calico - a mixture of black, white and orange tabby (which came from the father of the kittens). Like Amber, she is not a very cuddly cat, but will curl up on your lap when she is feeling affectionate. Her favourite toy is a ball-chase puzzle toy. Her favourite human food is chicken. She plays with her brother Onyx a lot, but also spends time with Jet - they sometimes sleep together - and Amber. Pearl has a bad habit of clawing table legs and wallpaper.

Onyx
D.O.B. - 22/02/17
Nicknames - Oni, Onimusha, Bubonyx Plague

Onyx was the 3rd kitten born from Amber's litter. He is a black and white tuxedo with a prominent white "dip-stick" end on his tail. Onyx can be very cuddly and playful, or he can do a disappearing act for hours - depending on his mood. His favourite toys are anything with bells or anything that rattles. His favourite human food is chicken. He plays with his sister Pearl a lot and likes to climb around on their cat tower. He has the feline equivalent of Down's Syndrome, inherited from his mother, Amber. He is quite clumsy and is quite a messy eater due to his misaligned jaw - we often have to clean cat food out of his nostrils and off his face.

Cleo
1991-2002
Cleo was a black and white tuxedo cat who was found as a kitten in my granddad's allotment a month or two before I was born. She was my childhood cat - we grew up together. She died of heart failure at age 11 in 2002.

Ruby
20/03/15 - 24/05/16
Ruby was an-all black, part-Persian cat that we adopted as a friend for Jet. She was very small, as a result of feline dwarfism. She and Jet were soulmates - best friends until the day Ruby got out and was hit by a car.

Queenie
05/04/98 - 01/12/16
Queenie was a grey tabby that Shelly grew up with. We adopted her in mid-2016 as she was deaf, blind and didn't seem to have long left - we tried to make her last days as comfortable as possible. She was hit by a reversing police car and was killed. I had the misfortune of seeing this happen.

Little One
23/02/17-23/02/17
Little One was Amber's 5th kitten. Unfortunately he was stillborn - his amniotic sac had broken and he must have suffocated before being born. Naturally, I only have one photo of him, and he is dead. I won't post it, out of respect for him and my fellow cat lovers.
