Gamer's Wardrobe: Custom-Made Virtue's Last Reward T-Shirt

This post potentially contains SPOILERS for the 3DS/PS Vita game Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward.

Virtue's Last reward is probably the best visual novel game I've ever played, it's amazing. If you have even the slightest interest in visual novels, murder mysteries, Japanese storylines/characters or escape-the-room puzzles - you MUST play it.

Anyway, for those of you who've actually played the game, remember this graffiti?

I love anagrams, but I never managed to solve this one - the answer of course was a massive plot twist reveal - and the addition of the extra "E" in ninth really messed with my head every time I saw it. :)

Anyway, I got a plain black Fruit of the Loom T-Shirt and some red Dylon fabric paint - gave them to Ash, found her the screenshot - she went away and came back with this:

She's managed to replicate the typeface almost bloody IDENTICALLY. :)

I've not worn this shirt outside yet, but I don't really look forward to explaining its meaning to the uneducated masses who haven't played this amazing gem of a game.

"Yes, I know there's an extra "E" in ninth... I'm not going to explain it - go and play Virtue's Last Reward." :P

Gamer's Wardrobe: Knock-Off Indian Sonic T-Shirts

My Mam and Dad to to India a lot - apparently the markets that aim towards tourists are very cheap and are usually made up of hand-made things, such as hand-carved ornaments and hand-stitched purses, or knock-off products - Mam told me about a shop she found that was actually called "The Genuine Fake Leather Shop".

On one trip to India, Mam and Dad brought me back these, obvious knock-off Sonic The Hedgehog T-Shirts - one red, one blue - size large-ish. How so I know they're knock offs? Sonic's skin is yellow, for a start. :)

Apparently, they cost 500 rupees each, which at the time was about £6 each - not bad really.

Gamer's Wardrobe: Eat, Sleep, Play Minecraft Satchel

Something different for this week's edition of Gamer's Wardrobe, not another T-Shirt - a satchel bag!

My mam bought me this for my 22nd birthday, as such, I cannot tell you where she got it from, or how much it was - but if you know, feel free to let me know. :)

It's a great bag, it's got some little pockets in the front under the velcro flap and it's big enough to take all of my crap with me to work - my lunchbox, 3DS to play on my lunch breaks and my iPod, complete with massive headphones. And it also advertises to the world that I play Minecraft. Albeit more than I actually do. :P

Gamer's Wardrobe: "I Cried When Aeris Died" Custom T-Shirt

Hey dudes, welcome to my third instalment of my Gamer's Wardrobe collection - this week I present to you a shirt I made myself on Zazzle.co.uk - which is an awesome site, reasonably priced, lots of customisation options and of course, is British, so it operates in ££££s and ships to the UK without having a fanny fit about it. :)

I'd seen a shirt similar to this online before; and I wanted it. But there were two problems: 1) It was £17, and 2) The font style was fucking Times New Roman - WTF? So I used Zazzle.com to make my own:

(Please to be ignoring my awful red-eye and the poster of naked ladies behind me. :P)

 

 

This shirt cost me around £13 and I got it within like 5 days of ordering it. If you want something on a shirt but they don't sell it in a shop - use Zazzle. :)

 

 

Of course I'm a huge Final Fantasy VII fan (in both senses of the word) - so I had to have this t-shirt. Not only is it true, but it sparks numerous conversations with other gamers, i.e.:

 

Dude: "Isn't it AerITH?"

Me: "It is if you're American."

Dude: "Touché."

For Hyrule residents advertising their love for a) The Song of Storms and b) water for their grass that Link insists on chopping down every time it grows back. :)

As you can see, I chose the black version to fit in with my vast array of heavy metal attire I own (owning practically only black shirts makes washing day so much less hassle!), on the photograph, the transfer looks quite dark and illegible, but as you can see it's printed in a lighter font than on the image. :D


As it's a budget T-shirt, one can't expect the highest quality of printing, and it sort of resembles a basic iron-on transfer rather than a machine-printed one - but I've washed it several times now and it's still holding up nicely. :D

The T-shirt itself fits comfortably, is printed well (not the usual 'shiny' cheap-looking T-shirt print, it's suitably worn-looking, just like a real Fallout piece of clothing) and is nice and cheap for gamers on a budget.
