Ash's Birthday Cards: The Binding Of Isaac

My prediction was right, so it seems. :)

Shelly made me a cake, I got some books, T-shirts and a shitton of underpants, because I made the mistake of telling everyone I needed pants. I also got some money and some gift cards that I blew on Amazon. :)

Anyway, this is this 2015's card designed by Ash - a Binding of Isaac card:

Complete with the menagerie of monsters attending my birthday party as I cut the cake with Mom's Knife. :)

Ash's Birthday Cards: Character Collage

This is a somewhat different birthday card designed by Ash - for my 20th birthday she presented me with a card that featured a collage of some of my favourite games characters.

From left to right: 

Link (The Legend of Zelda), Leon (Resident Evil), Wario (Mario/Wario series), Mona (Wario Ware Inc.), Jimmy Hopkins (Bully), The Prince (Katamari), K.K. Slider (Animal Crossing), Subject Delta (Bioshock), Princess Peach (Mario series) and Cloud Strife (Final Fantasy VII) - complete with the cake from Portal as the often-included birthday cake. :)

I laminated the card and blu-tacked it up on my wall. :)

Ash's Birthday Cards: Animal Crossing

In August of 2013, Shelly bought herself a pink 3DSXL, and thanks to a promotion that Argos was running at the time, she bought Animal Crossing: New Leaf and received a code for a 2nd person to download the game - obviously, that person was me - and we spent months playing the game together - actually, we still do dip into it from time to time - I'm only missing the scorpion from the bug collection and I have a completed museum...

Anyway, the following October, for Shelly's 25th birthday - Ash drew her this lovely Animal Crossing: New Leaf card, complete with the iconic birthday cake. :)

Ash's Birthday Cards: Skryim

It's time for another installment of Ash's Birthday Cards - and in less than 2 months, Shelly and I will be getting another two - my birthday is this month, Shelly's is next month. I'm predicting that this year Ash will draw me a... Binding of Isaac card. :)

Anyway, this was my card from last year - my 23rd birthday. At the time I'd just gotten into Skyrim. Ash asked me to send her a photo of my character - a sexy female Khajiit who I named Dahynraya. I wanted an authentic Khajiit name, so I used a name generator. To my knowledge, the prefix "Dahyn" means "thief". It's also a pain in the arse to spell. :)

So, this is Dahynraya relaxing in a bathtub filled with all of her ill-gotten gains. Seriously, it's not difficult to become a millionaire in Skyrim. Money money money - so many Septims and nothing to spend it on.

Ash's Birthday Cards: We Love Katamari

Shelly and I's mutual best friend Ash has this little tradition when it's our birthdays - Ash wants to be a graphic artist or designer, hence she really likes drawing and being all arty and shit. So every year for around the past 5 years, Shelly and I have gotten personalised birthday cards, hand-drawn by Ash.

For my cards, Ash always seems to choose the game I'm currently playing and bases the card's design around that. This is the very first card Ash made for me; for my 18th birthday I got a Playstation 2 (yeah, only seven years too late to the party there) and one of my favourite games: We Love Katamari.

So as you can see, my birthday Katamari comes complete with a ton of rolled-up presents, a party hat, ribbons and a cake. :D
